    I believe in good!

There is nothing 'low' about food. All our senses should be enjoyed in moderation. No reason to deny or denigrate them.

    I believe in good!

I cook a red chilli pepper with my meal about once a month(and tonight is the night). As well as an enhancer to the taste, its affect(should this be effect?) is to clear any debris in mind. (Ie. the 'wow' when the heat hits.)

Under the nose of a king

(IMO) it's a lesson to those in 'high' positions in all walks of life, should not regard themselves as above anyone else and should consider their advice. In the above story, the king should , at least, have investigated the information from Alexander, but his ego prevented him.

Did Most Early Christians Believe The Divinity of Christ?

I was fortunate to have just the opposite experience to @muhammad_isa . I used to live near a large house that I often heard singing from on Saturday eves. I really enjoyed the singing, which I found uplifting. So, one of those evenings I decided to go into the house(the door was open) and...

Did Jesus come to save all the people of the world?

Salutations @Faithfulservant , I hope all is well with you. One of the first questions I asked a Rabbi was , "What is the real meaning of the word "Israel"? He explained that the first 3 letters ישראל ( lersy) means 'let rule' and the remaining 2 letters ישראל ( lersy) mean God(el). So, this...

    I believe in good!

@Dhammañāṇa Bhikkhu This reminded me of someone I met in my home town who was dressed similarly to the "Jesus" in the video. So he told me that he left his wife, given up all his possessions including $300000 and came to my town(in UK) because God had told him to. He was the 2nd coming and he...

Why I take the Bible literally

@Faithfulservant This may interest you (or not :>)). It was shown to me by a Trinitarian(several decades ago), when trying to convert me(from Judaism). Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. בְּרֵאשִׁ֖ית בָּרָ֣א אֱלֹהִ֑ים אֵ֥ת הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם וְאֵ֥ת הָאָֽר In...

    The Book of Zohar.

Ok, I'll kick off, although I don't have much to offer. I first read the Zohar about 50+ years ago.(It was my father's). The thing that stands out in my (failing!) memory is that the writer describes his experiences of the ayn-sof which can be thought of as the source of existence(see link...

I am uncertain if this belongs in this thread, probably because it has the words loom an weave contained. I'll post it anyway.:) I found this by Kabir I weave your name on the loom of my mind, To make my garment when you come to me. My loom has ten thousand threads To make my garment when you...

    Absolute Truth

I have met so many people who are strong believers in their religion/belief system as being the absolute truth, each one being totally sincere, that I do not believe that there is an objective absolute truth to be discovered. I see we all sit in our own versions and personally, I enjoy...
