BBC has a new series called "The Muhammadan Bean: The Secret History of Islam". Many people don't know coffee first gained its popularity in the lands of Islam. Spreading from Yemen to be precise. It was once considered by some to be the devil's drink. Despite this coffee houses rapidly spread around the world.

hi guys!!

coffee infact did spread in Muslim world for religious reasons; it is said saints used to ponder over how they can stay awake at night to worship ALlah and one of them was guided to the coffee plant in a dream!!!! :)

I come from a culture where coffee is drank to socialize, relax, etc. They say my homeland Bosnia is 10th in the world for coffee drinking. So, yes, I drink coffee Found my new home, USA, is lover for coffee too, so I fit right in!
