Religionists are fond of saying that belief in God is the stuff of faith, and that logic cannot go there, has no place there.

Why?

We believe in science because it's logical. I believe my boyfriend loves me because of my experiences with him, which is a kind of logic all its own.

But faith says Believe in God. Logic says, Why? Faith answers, Because I said so.

Faith also says, You have no business here, Logic. Get out.

Why is this okay? Why isn't it all right to subject belief in God to logic, just as we do with belief in ghosts, or democracy, or the theraputic value of music?
