Something I read earlier today that I don't know where to put

Amazing story, but I'm not sure I should have read it now!

    Hello, it's Me!

And when the Internet was a very different place! No Wikipedia, just the DMOZ directory for special interests. :) So, yes, I had to scrounge around for what I could find then, but I'm sure hhe collection could easily be improved these days.

    Hello, it's Me!

It's OK, most of the works were copyright free - those that weren't I sought express permission for. It was all compiled more than 20 years ago and hasn't been touched since. It was always intended as a starter resource. :)

    Hello, it's Me!

There's some webdev going on at the moment, so it keeps switching between an older developed theme - which isn't mobile friendly - and more recent one that is mobile-friendly but less developed!

    Islam's view of Jesus

I think I may have to tidy this thread up, to clear some of the formatting issues. :)

    Hello, it's Me!

Welcome to the forums, and good to see someone with an interest in the non-canonical writings. This website originally hosted the biggest collection of Christian apocrypha and pseudepigrapha, though I wouldn't be surprised if there's room to improve that now. :)

"Believing in science" - what does that mean?

Most people won't even read a research study, and such studies have a tradition of being hidden behind paywalls only university students and major research organizations have access to. At least there's been a growing movement to open sources publishing. But even then, science is taken on faith...

"Believing in science" - what does that mean?

That's what I mean - if no one is actually conducting any researching themselves, or attempting to copy it, then everything is taken on faith. :) Absolutely, and the process should give us an objective view. Unfortunately, even the best science is clouded by subjective biases, and the worst is...

"Believing in science" - what does that mean?

Exactly, you put your faith in researchers the way ordinary believers do in priests. You dont understand, you simply have faith. :)

    Who created God?

It's interesting in how your faith in there being no God is just as strong as some people who have faith there is a God. Your faith is very strong. :)

"Believing in science" - what does that mean?

Are you doing any of this research? If not then you are simply taking their word on faith. Which very much underlines my point. :D

    Truth and Gospel

Interesting - I never saw that connection before. I took it as an example of miracles being regarded as more ordinary and commonplace in the ancient world. Or, at least, that great figures could demonstrate their greatness through such acts. I have a feeling that miracles may have been...

    The gut-brain connection

From what I've been reading, it's becoming very much accepted in mainstream science that the digestive system isn't simply some passive region that accepts commands from the brain, but instead provides a very powerful feedback mechanism to it.

    Who created God?

Please don't imply that members are lying, as that's likely to be perceived as a personal attack. Also, let's leave current events and politics out of this thread otherwise it will get closed - plenty of places elsewhere online to discuss politics.

Compilation of arguments against the existence of Jesus

Tacitus recounts how Vespasian performed miracles in Alexandria before continuing on to Rome to officially become Emperor. :)
