yes I understand. I always know when something is right. This, even though as a younger person I have not always followed this "inherent spiritual quality". This 'knowingness' of the right is goodness.
Does being good or even 'Goodness' need a reason to be? I have seen in myself a desire to be good without any sort of religious belief. Just a simple wish to be good for its own sake. Maybe even because it makes me feel good. Being the opposite of good makes me miserable and unhappy.

The calm I was referring to is not a ‘blanking out’ or a numbing. I do know times when I am most happy in my self. I know then that my life is quite perfect exactly as it is.
