A couple of "receipts" that kinda originated in my home state, but might've been tweaked in the broadcasters' kitchen/s:

One is for a cream cheese kringle (well-known in Racine, perhaps in Denmark) and the other is for fried cheese curds (well-known all over Wisconsin, but the cook/chef first had them in Wauwatosa/Milwaukee [he visited the Third Ward].)
