Master and Lord

I thought you would like these scriptures because they refer to Jesus as Master and Lord.

I guess I don't understand what you're looking for?
What is it that you think Jesus most wants people to know?
One thing that I would like to try, if no one has any better ideas, is to make a list of things that we all agree are important for people to know. Maybe we could all agree that Jesus was a king that God promised to Israel, and that He was crucified.

The Resurrection. That is pretty basic, and pretty fundamental to any belief system.

It isn't a sure thing for me that He was resurrected physically. I'm not saying that to argue, but to say that isn't something that I agree with. I can agree that He was resurrected, and that's important for people to know, but it isn't a sure thing for me that it was in a physical body. If you want to, with that disclosure, we can say that we agree that He was resurrected.

(later) If you're agreeing to do this with me, it might be important to discuss our disagreements, but I would rather do it somewhere else.

One of my concerns is that I think that it hides from people what I think Jesus most wants people to know,
Jesus said this to his disciples just before he left and ascended to heaven:

Matthew 28:18-20
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Maybe we could all agree with doing God's will, even if we disagree about what His will is.

Here's one thing that I would like to know. Do we all agree that Jesus has all the authority, power, knowledge and wisdom of God that there is in the world? Or maybe even more, that everything that there is of God in the world, is in Him? @walter I'm thinking of you for example. Can you go that far? Don't say yes if you want to say no. :)

(later) I posted this before I saw your post above.

John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you

Had to. Sorry. This tells me that we need help in deciphering what Jesus said 2000 years ago. We needed a helper.

Yes Jesus is my Lord and Master and everything else.. brother friend husband Savior Redeemer and God. To have a discussion on what we agree on would be hard because limiting Him to less than I have stated is denying His full role in my life. He saved me.

The apostles, guided by the Holy Spirit, did not instruct their followers to seek new information from the Spirit that contradicted God's Word, the Bible. Instead, the Holy Spirit's role, as promised by Jesus, is to help believers understand the existing teachings of Scripture and to align their lives with God's established word, not to reveal conflicting or new doctrines. The Spirit illuminates the truth of God's Word, making it a living truth that transforms the believer's understanding and actions.

Acts 17:11, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Romans 15:4, John 17:17, 1 Thessalonians 2:13, Hebrews 4:12

It's also difficult to explain a relationship with the Holy Spirit to a person that doesn't believe He is a person with feelings and power. Have you been baptized in the Holy Spirit?

How about Jesus came for His people the Jews first.
I agree with you:

Matthew 10:5-6
5 These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans. 6 Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel. NIV

Matthew 15:24
Berean Standard Bible
He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”

Romans 1:16
New American Bible
For I am not ashamed of the gospel. It is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: for Jew first, and then Greek.

Acts 2:1-4
2 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. NIV

Acts 2:17
“And in the last days,” God says, “I will pour out some of my spirit on every sort of flesh, and your sons and your daughters will prophesy and your young men will see visions and your old men will dream dreams, NWT

Matthew 3:11
New King James Version
I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

Acts 1:8
New King James Version
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Genesis 1:2
New King James Version
The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

Do these scriptures sound like a person with feelings or God's power? ........... Myself I favor power. I respect what ever you decide.

Evidence of the Holy Spirit's Emotions
Grief:
Ephesians 4:30 explicitly states, "And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God".

Resistance:
Passages like Acts 7:51 and Isaiah 63:10 mention that the Holy Spirit can be resisted.

Being Lied To:
In Acts 5:3-4, Ananias and Sapphira are described as lying to the Holy Spirit

Love:
Romans 15:30 mentions the Holy Spirit's love.

Take the time to review the scriptures in this link.. I won't post them. I'm on a phone and it's hard to do lengthy posts. Do these not describe a person to you??

I looked at all the scriptures on that link, to me each scripture: "do not grieve", "resisted", "lying", could apply to the person reading.
The verse also sounds like instructions for the reader to not grieve, resist or lie to the Holy Spirit.

Romans 15:30: "by the love of the spirit" does sound like an emotion. Matthew 28:19 says to baptize in the name of the Holy Spirit, What is the Holy Spirit's name? Could it be that it is just God's Holy Spirit?

For example: If I say: "by the love and kindness of God's Grace" There is not enough information for us to think that God's Grace is a person.

The scriptures on the Holy Spirit do not explain the Holy Spirit is God's Power or a Person with no name. It is a judgment call.

Only because this thread is not in the Christianity sub forum and you included us all do I give my answer your question - No.
