Why do humans hate other humans for unjustified reasons ?

For example someone will hate another person because they like a genre of music that the person does not like why are there so many humans that do this they will hate someone for unjust reasons ? Perhaps Humanity itself is mostly morally wrong and naturally evil.

A very interesting moralistic point about how people sometimes define themselves in terms of inclusive social groups to the exclusion of others.

I don't get the reference to Edmonton, though. A hint for the non-Canucks? :)

Edmonton is a place in Canada the guy wanted to know if I live there and his assumption was in this case correct ?

We're tribal by nature, it's instinctive. We look for groups to belong to and adopt their norms and behaviours, and they become part of our identity. Perceived threats to them become threats to us.
