    What does that mean, CZ?

    Cult? (Buddism)

Nick, just to make totally clear. I am not at at interested in this '*******' form of Buddism, but my gf's older friend is, and what she was saying to my g/f, and how she was saying it, made me feel uneasy. I tried to point out to my g/f (who is somewhat naive, and a bit emotionally fragile)...

    Cult? (Buddism)

My g/f has an older female friend who, tbh, seems like a harmless oddball. But she is OCD about Buddism. Or should I say, SGI Buddism. See link SGI UK Website Now, I do not profess to be a Buddist expert, or even, as my user name suggests, very enlightened. But I see what I see, and...

    Is Catholicism Christianity?

Doesn't that come over as a wee bit arrogant, Thomas? Even if not meant as such?

    Is Catholicism Christianity?

And perhaps you don't know 'him' better than me, or anyone else on this board? Just a thought.

    Is Catholicism Christianity?

Not at all. All other present life forms would go on, and v possibly be the better for our absence. But I wasn't speaking of life forms.

    Is Catholicism Christianity?

In bold. Yup, that would do just fine. Know one can know what he was really like for certain, so the concept of him would be fine enough. :)

    Is Catholicism Christianity?

How so? Let's say that you are a RC, right? Let's say that mankind is gone in a century. Who would continue the catholic church, and other religions? Ants? St ANThony - :D

    Is this not logical?

Thanks. Will read that in a bit. How long has it been established? What are the primary goals? Are there donations involved? Do you know how many people have embraced this?

    Is this not logical?

So, Islam accepts that life was not 'created' in the accepted sense, but evolved, in the true scientific sense, is that what you mean?

    Is this not logical?

But if a friend or even a stranger came to you, and said that they were being communicated with, via 'visions', and that these visions were from the 'divine', would you beleive him? Would the public believe him? Or, not to be cruel, would he be dismissed as a whacko?

    Is Catholicism Christianity?

I wasn't ever neutral re the central point. I said right off that I agreed with my mum that RC are 'Christians'. I know there are some that do disagree with that. Threads evolve. That is natural, happens here, happens on forums all over the net. In this instance I happened to be speaking...

    Is Catholicism Christianity?

Um...no, I am not sure where you got that? My OP was what it was. A question as to whether or not RC's are regarded as Christian, and indeed, regard themselves as such. Don't be so paranoid! :o

    Is Catholicism Christianity?

It is. My mother and I are different people, so I do not feel a special duty to not speak about the ugly side of Catholicism, should the need take me. As it goes, for all her supposed leaning toward the religion, she knows v little about it when questioned.

    Is Catholicism Christianity?

Some of the poorest nations in the world are predominantly RC. These people live with no education. In a perverse twist, we will then see Catholic churches filled with gold and precious gems, not to mention all the priceless works that 'belong' to the Vatican. Something not v godly about...

    Is Catholicism Christianity?

I am only really interested in the law and the welfare of the abused child. The vatican has pre con of covering up for the actions of paedophile priests. That can never be right. I am sure if there is a god, he would not approve of someone avoiding our laws, notwithstanding his laws. Right?

    Is Catholicism Christianity?

Over institutionalise anything, and it attracts creeps and paedo's. The schools in Ireland that were run by Nuns etc, had a terrible history of physical and sexual abuse, as does the priesthood. Perhaps the 'trusted' nature of those positions actually makes them attractive to sadists? The...
