    Reasonable faith

This is one area where I'm attempting to walk a tightrope. I am daily studying to more fully understand what I believe without discounting it until proven false. While at the same time staying open to studying things I don't believe (because I may have missed something) without accepting them...

Okay, okay...see, I'm learning. Hard to open up to thinking about "tradition" when you grew up with "Fundi good, Catholic bad".:D Looking for a more mature thinking in that respect - In all thoughts keeping G-d first. (Some dispose of Him with philosophy) Much thanks, Mark

What are the Differences between the Abrahamic Faiths?

I used to go to Friday prayers with my friend from work. I saw everybody looking right and left and asked my friend later why. As he frequently did, my friend said "Don't ask so many questions". So I never found out. (I found out later that he wasn't very religious and may not have known...

No. It's just a personal comfort that works for me. You do hear Him, though, don't you? You shouldn't - unless the time comes that it becomes truth, of course. Maybe...subjective, huh? I'll agree that that's true. I guess that's the point I was trying to make - To do whatever G-d says is...

    Reasonable faith

(imo) With the Holy Spirit as guide, you can know it's G-d's voice speaking. That is the point, isn't it? Doesn't G-d want us to hear His voice? When you hear G-d's voice repeatedly, it gets to the point where you recognize it. "Be still and know that I am G-d". "And thine ears shall hear a...

When it comes to salvation? I believe "yes". The way I see it, G-d is the "absolute standard".

What are the Differences between the Abrahamic Faiths?

Yes! [SIZE=2] [SIZE=4]Yes! I think I agree with you here. But I think you have to add "as long as they trust the Holy Spirit" to your above paragraph. "There is a way that seemeth right (logical?) in a man's eyes, but the end thereof is death". The "natural man" can't see the truth...

    Reasonable faith

Is believing in G-d reasonable from a human point of view? Once you believe in Him, you can build a very reasonable religion in many different ways. My Christian religion seems very reasonable to me. And since I believe I am created, it seems reasonable to do whatever my creator says...
