Jokes, jokes, and more jokes ...

:D These jokes only make sense in Spanish: Que pasa? Ciruela! Que onda? Oceano! Que es eso? Queso! Ciruela pasa = prune... que pasa? = lit. what's passing? Oceano onda = the ocean is waving... que onda = lit. what's waving? Both que pasa and que onda are used as "What's up?" Queso =...

    the mountains passed away

One of the monarchs was polite in reply, and that was Queen Victoria. A descendent of Queen Victorie, Queen Marie of Romania, later became a Baha'i. "The system of government which the British people have adopted in London appeareth to be good, for it is adorned with the light of both kingship...

    the mountains passed away

What happened to the Ottoman Empire, the Russian Empire, the French Empire? When they were there, they were so powerful and everyone thought they'd be there forever... as solid as the mountains... but then Baha'u'llah wrote to the emperors, they rejected His advice, and the mountains passed away.

    Paradise Is Near!

The worst war in the history of the world was World War II. Past ages don't compare, for bad and for good. Reminds me of a quote... "The world's equilibrium hath been upset through the vibrating influence of this most great, this new World Order. Mankind's ordered life hath been...

    Interfaith as a Faith

Makes sense... we can choose to turn to God, the All-Powerful. On our own we are powerless.

    Jesus and the Bahai Faith

I forgot to add that Spirit of God is a title of Jesus.

    Jesus and the Bahai Faith

I like 'Abdu'l-Baha's explanation of the concept of Trinity. He uses the explanation to harmonize strict monotheism with the idea of seeing God in Jesus, because Jesus is a Perfect Mirror reflecting the Light of God. Also, on the topic of Jesus and the Baha'i Faith, Baha'u'llah wrote to...

    Gods friends

Yes, I agree the Baha'i Faith is an Abrahamic religion :) _____ What Baha'is have in common with Jehovah's Witnesses is that we believe Christ has already returned. For Jehovah's Witnesses, that means Jesus got His throne in heaven. For Baha'is, it means Baha'u'llah came to the world. Just...

I agree. ...and I believe the world center of the kingdom of God on earth is in Haifa, Israel.

    World Religions

I agree there is only one God... no other 'god' can compete with God, I believe, because no other 'god' exists.... and God is the All-Powerful, the All-Knowing, the All-Wise. "There is none other God but Him, the All-Glorious, the Almighty, the All-Highest, the All-Wise, the All-Pervading, the...

All the religions in the world are the feathers of the same bird

God is the All-Seeing, the All-Hearing! :) Birds can see and hear better than people, but God is much greater than a bird :)

    Interfaith as a Faith

You reminded me of this quote: "They that are endued with sincerity and faithfulness should associate with all the peoples and kindreds of the earth with joy and radiance, inasmuch as consorting with people hath promoted and will continue to promote unity and concord, which in turn are...

    Interfaith as a Faith

Unitarian -- monotheist.... I believe in only one God. Universalist -- I believe God desires the salvation of everyone, and I believe salvation is loving God.... if you love God, great! :) I'm not a member of the UUA, though.

    The opening of the seal

The Book of Certitude is my favorite book! :) It explains so many symbols and metaphors, meanings that were sealed up. "In fact, all the Scriptures and the mysteries thereof are condensed into this brief account." -Baha'u'llah _____ What the title of the thread reminded me of was the seven...

Good news indeed :) "In this Day a great festival is taking place in the Realm above; for whatsoever was promised in the sacred Scriptures hath been fulfilled. This is the Day of great rejoicing. It behoveth everyone to hasten towards the court of His nearness with exceeding joy, gladness...

    Paradise Is Near!

Very near :) "Behold it is closer to you than your life-vein! Swift as the twinkling of an eye ye can, if ye but wish it, reach and partake of this imperishable favor, this God-given grace, this incorruptible gift, this most potent and unspeakably glorious bounty." -Baha'u'llah

    Couriers of the Cause

Some of the principles cited were... (in my own words...) --We accept the divine origin of the other world religions --World peace is attainable and inevitable --Women and men are equal --Religion and science are in harmony --Heaven is nearness to God and hell is remoteness from Him

    Couriers of the Cause

There was a preacher who went around warning people that the Baha'i Faith was becoming America's religion. I forgot his name, but then a Baha'i wrote a book about all the principles he was warning against... I'll try to google it, I think it had America or American in the title.
