    Question...

According to Islam that man would be a Muslim. Islam teaches every human being is born a Muslim. Later, under the influence of his parents, his environment, his own will, he becomes a Sunni or a Shia Muslim, a Jew, a Christian, a Hindu, an atheist, a pagan, etc. As I believe in God, belong to...

    Creation Myths and Interesting Patterns

Hello Path of One, I had very strong arguments with Muslims when I dared say the creation of man from clay was an age-old myth and was totally unscientific. I understood "myth" as a symbolic story to express a religious truth.

    Women?

Hello Staffy For a wife to have similar rights as her husband is an "extremely high position in Islam". But for other people I belong to, it is the normal position of the wife.

    Women?

My last post was a response to Vajradhara about the cultural milieu of the revelation. Slavery being no longer relevant I mentioned the veil as an example. This is an interfaith forum. If you want to change it into a faith forum then I'll leave. But I'll wait first that you drop the "inter"...

    Women?

Hello Vajradhara There are several topics in the Quran that relate to a 7th century cultural milieu and could be easily ignored by modern Muslims (the veil for example). The problem is the Quran is not considered a 7th century theological treatise written by Muhammad, but the eternal Word...

    Women?

Thanks Vajradhara for your intervention. PluckyAli's reaction was proportionate to the embarrassment this verse is to Muslims. In the Arabic text is written "beat" not "beat lightly", whether "lightly" is in brackets or not. To add to the Quran is to show disrespect to God's word.

    Women?

Islamic End Time Prophecies Not Mentioned in the Bible

Thipps I agree with you. What you say is what most Christians say : let's leave the date up to God. But you should know that for some people it's "fashionable" to see all kinds of "signs", out of which they speculate a date for the end time. That date is usually in the next years or decade...

    Protection of the Qur'an

How can God change His mind in a short book like the Quran (compared to the Bible) and in a short period of 10 years or a little more, which amounts to contradicting Himself. The simple explanation is that the Word of God has been corrected by its human authors. In many verses it is stated...

Islamic End Time Prophecies Not Mentioned in the Bible

By Western religions I mean all the religions that are common in the Western countries. It doesn't mean, as someone hinted on a previous post, that they all originated in Europe or North America. If you want a list : Catholicism, Protestantism, Judaism, Orthodoxy, Evangelism, Jehovah...

Islamic End Time Prophecies Not Mentioned in the Bible

I react out of respect for Islam. End time prophecies exist in every religion. What is new is the trend, owing in part to the emergence of the internet, to delve into that topic. The Western religions have been into that for centuries and all the prophecies failed one after the other. After...

Islamic End Time Prophecies Not Mentioned in the Bible

When will Muslims stop mimicking the Western religions. After concordism, now end-time prophecies.

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

In many languages there are three kinds of "you". One used with friends, children, relatives when you address one person ("thou" in old English). Another one used in formal and polite speech when you address one person. One when you address several people. Those two last forms are often...
