    I converted to Jehovah's Witnesses

I probably would not lecture a rabbi about Judaism or Jews, in the present day or in the 1st century CE, if I were a non-Jew.

    I converted to Jehovah's Witnesses

It’s been a long while since I’ve extensively read through Christian scripture so if I accept your contention as to what Christian scripture states and if you are telling me that Christian scripture indicates that early 1st century Jews were either one or the other, then Christian scripture is...

Bushido, Japanese train of thought, means Bu = Not, Shi = Self, Do = do, in total: Not Self Do which is what Yahweh/YahShuah wants.

You’ll forgive my confusion, but being unfamiliar with the term I looked up bushido online. None of the sites I visited agreed with your translation of the term. They all stated it means ”warrior way” or “way of the warrior” based on bushi meaning warrior and do meaning path or way.

So, just how separate do you envision these “flowers” should be? Would you, for example, support laws that prohibit marriage between groups or would limit the number of children of an intermarried couple? And, who are the folks seeking to enslave the gray flowers into one slave race?

    I converted to Jehovah's Witnesses

You are assuming a) that the gospels were originally composed in Aramaic and b) that there exists true and correct copies of the Aramaic language gospels as originally written. I don’t think you‘ll find the majority of scholars agree with your first supposition and as a consequence no belief...

    ancient biblical and qur'anic worldview

It goes way beyond just that, but I prefer to hear from @abuyusufalshafii before I can determine whether there is cause to register dismay.

    ancient biblical and qur'anic worldview

Putting aside whether or not your description of certain ancient worldviews are correct, are we to assume that those worldviews are your current worldviews?

    on Faith

I have abstained from participating in this thread - first because this thread is in the Christianity subforum and second because I have had words with @Tony Bristow-Stagg in the past, primarily elsewhere, and I’ve said what I have thought I needed to say. But I am reconsidering.

    Purim

Tomorrow night begins Purim. My wife made hamentaschen with the “help” of our 2 1/2 year old granddaughter - cherry, prune and chocolate. Chag sameach to all who celebrate.

    Principle/Law v Personal/Love

@CircleoftheWay - I’m not sure to what extent Watts’ training as a priest affected his thoughts. He was ordained in 1946 and left the church in 1951. Furthermore, he had been active in Buddhist circles for years prior to entering an Episcopal seminary.
