Something I read earlier today that I don't know where to put

The size and shape genes are very important for Corgis, both breeds. They herd cattle and horses and need to be able to to stay underneath the kicks yet still be big enough to be readily seen and be taken seriously. A Cardigan can easily be 35 pounds or more, about the same as a much taller Whippet.

What religions teach that everything is fine?

If there is nothing to worry about, nothing to fear, no dread, no threats, no matter what, why bother with a religion?

Anyone know why Allstate is running a commercial for car insurance featuring cars traveling about with objects on their roofs, goldfish bowls, trays of Jello etc, but with the soundtrack being Edith Piaf singing Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien? That song fit the Dove Chocolate commercial perfectly but...

What Are You Watching on Youtube?

Apparently GIFs time out or something and stop 'performing'. You have to wake them up somehow. Did you mean gaffe? :)

Why do GIFs sometimes misbehave? The GIF would not run in the prior post until I replied.

What Are You Watching on Youtube?

In 1934, motion pictures in the US were hit with the Hays code, intended to eliminate ‘immoral’ and ‘indecent’ content in films. It was not just live action movies that were affected but cartoons as well. The pre-code Betty Boop was one of the major targets. Not only did she dress and act rather...

    Senior Moments

Taking great care in making a shopping list. Adding to it every time I think of something else. Printing it out before going to the store. Leaving it home anyway. Thought for the day: At my age I have finally got it all together. But now I have no idea what I wanted it for.

    I believe

Woke too often translates into thinking what one is told to think and saying what one is told to say in the exact words one is told to use. Sounds like a religion to me

The first commandment, to love God, implies doing what God said. Otherwise it is pointless. Concentrating entirely on the first and ignoring the second is not going to work. The second is implied by the first. “On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” (Mt 22:40) In...

What Are You Watching on Youtube?

I am not that much of a classical style music fan, tending when I am in the mood toward such obvious and popular things as Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony, and of course Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte. Here is the Queen of the Night aria, fabulously delivered by Diana Damrau...

Love should result in action or it is devoid of meaning. To love God is to do what God said to do. In Matthew 19, Jesus points out that it is not his commandments “Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good. If you would enter life, keep the commandments.” (Mt 19:17) It...

Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. In Matthew 19, Jesus says “Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good. If you would enter life, keep the...
