    Old Testament numbers

Scribal error is certainly possible. I have seen similar postulated for the rrors or exaggeration of numbers in the old Hebrew texts. But on something so obvious would the numbers not have been changed or corrected, or would that be too far against the grain of popular Christian opinion?

    Spiritual fascism

This is a definite concern within Christianity. One of the things that pushes me more from it is the high atitude of superiority, the judementalism, the legalism, and the general ignorance of the words of Jesus. Spiritual fascism as you call it is endemic, even among those who appear as...

    Foundationist Church?

I am not sure if the Unitarians even know what they believe in anymore. :-

    Coming to foundationist.org...

I have just looked at your new Christian section. I am impressed that you have tracked down so many non-canonical writings. I will be kept very busy indeed. :)

    Foundationist Church?

I am not against a Foundationist organisation as such. After all, I am sure that there are atheist and theist organisations of all types who have no doctrine. Or perhaps some do. Nevertheless, the use of the term Church did seem a little provocative. Since it is declared that this site promotes...

    The Two Commandments

When Jesus was asked which of the Ten Mosaic commandments were the most important, he made the following recorded reply: Luke 10:27 "And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy god with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy...

    Old Testament numbers

That certainly does make for interesting reading. Yet if this is so why does the Bible still not implement this insight? I fear that bob x, for all his learning and interest, has greatly erred on the understanding of the matter.

Major NT discoveries of the 20th century

I would certainly hope that there are more discoveries this century. I am not, however, hopeful. The translation issue would perhaps work better on another thread. :)

Major NT discoveries of the 20th century

For what it's worth, following is a document I found elsewhere on the web and have saved to my computer which I found most interesting. I am profoundly fascinated by historical research into the development of the New Testament. I cannot call myself a scholar but I do enjoy reading on any aspect...

    Foundationist Church?

I have been looking around the site (at what you actually have up) and noticed a piece in your general articles section, which refers to a Foundationist Church. I have not yet read all of the article, but it does cause some concern. I joined this site believing that I would be among open-minded...

    Coming to foundationist.org...

And remember you have promised to me that you would seek to include a vast swathe of early Christian texts online here. :) I know you have mentioned Apocryphal writings and pseudopigrapha, but how about earliest Church Fathers also, such as Papias and Ignatius?

    uh, content?

I'm personally looking forward to seeing information on the early canon of the New Testament. It's an area of much interest to myself.

    Avatars?

I wouldn't mind seeing a few new avatars around here. :) I can only find hindu or Islamic. Have you anything Christian yet? Nothing strong as I still wish to wear my liberal badge.
