    Blessings

My favorite day is the first day of spring, which is also the Baha'i new year, but I do like Thanksgiving and its potential as an interfaith holiday :) "PRAISE and thanksgiving beseem the Lord of manifest dominion..." -Baha'u'llah

    Baha'i culture...art, film, literature

Re: Baha'i Videos Awesome! I didn't know there was a Baha'i "youtube." :) There's a video on youtube by Charlotte Church that seems very Baha'i to me... it's called "Just Wave Hello." I think it's her global anthem and it's about world unity. She sings about the dawning of a new day.

    What color is your...

White has all the colors. If you see a brilliant white aura, so bright that you can't even see the person, that's an angel.... (I saw one once.) I would say my personal color is the one I'm typing in right now... light blue. Even though I see my religion as green, I know it's not just green...

The Anthropology of Religion Part I: Definitions

However religion is defined, I believe its purpose is for love and unity :)

    noddegamra

Do you have a monopoly on universalism? ;) Just kidding. Here's a quote from Baha'i scriptures... "Wert thou to consider, for but a little while, the outward works and doings of Him Who is the Eternal Truth, thou wouldst fall down upon the ground, and exclaim: O Thou Who art the Lord of...

should I stay or should I go?

Green Acre is a Baha'i school in Maine. If you want to see the Baha'i World Center, here's a video of it: YouTube - Haifa - Israel The garden terraces are pretty green.

should I stay or should I go?

Cool, thanks! So it is blue :) I did a quick search of youtube for "Baha'i green" and found this funny Green Acre video: YouTube - The Green Acre Newsreel Volume I - The Peg Leg Stairs I had forgotten there's a Baha'i school called Green Acre.

should I stay or should I go?

Someone, I think Dauer, said techelet for Judaism. What is techelet? Someone said Zoroastrianism was dark blue. But I think of fire... oh, wait, fire can be blue :) One time I had a dream I saw white fire. Christianity was given purple, red, mossy green, white... purple was said to be the color...

    What color is your...

I see the Baha'i Faith as green, Judaism as blue, Christianity as purple, Islam as yellow, Zoroastrianism red, and Hinduism orange.... Buddhism.... black? I didn't type in yellow because it's hard to read.

should I stay or should I go?

Woah, cool, someone else said purple for Christianity in that thread. I'll post there... and bring back some info from there to here.

should I stay or should I go?

There could be a lot of answers to that... colors mean a lot of different things... I'll try to remember a few meanings I've heard of... Purple is royal? Regal? Does the Vatican have particular colors associated with it? I'm thinking purple and yellow, maybe mostly yellow... yellow and white...

    a few historical prophecies

Hello Alex and Arthra! The Summons of the Lord of Hosts is, of course, the primary source for these prophecies. There were excerpts from it previously complied in the Proclamation of Baha'u'llah. Another great book that goes into detail about many of these is the Challenge of Baha'u'llah...

    Baha'i culture...art, film, literature

Re: You-tube of the Baha'i House of Worship choir: I also like Eric Dozier :) I'm a Charlotte Church fan, and found a bunch of her videos on youtube, but since this is the Baha'i culture topic, I should point out that Charlotte Church is Catholic. As for Baha'i singers... I like Eric...

Why do you believe in YOUR religion

My saying "if you want to continue this conversation" might sound a little, um, I don't know.... discourteous.... I don't mean it that way. It's just that this thread has lots of threads... hehe... ;)

Why do you believe in YOUR religion

The prophecies I listed aren't vague. Baha'u'llah wrote directly to world leaders, essentially giving them a choice between unity and justice on the one hand, and the fall of their empires on the other, if they chose their own aggrandizement instead of the good of their peoples. If you want to...

    a few historical prophecies

These prophecies aren't vague... Baha'u'llah wrote directly to world leaders and told them what could happen if they worked for unity and justice and what would happen if they didn't. For instance, "Baha'u'llah warned Napoleon III, emperor of France, that 'thy kingdom shall be thrown into...

    noddegamra

If you want, you can start another noddegamra thread in the Baha'i forum. Baha'is not only come from Jewish, Christian, and Muslim backgrounds, the country with the largest number of Baha'is is India, the land of Hinduism. There are also a large number of Baha'is in southeast Asia, where...

should I stay or should I go?

Mmmm, pies :) Sometimes I think of religions in terms of colors, I don't know why. I'm not sure why I see the Baha'i Faith as green, for instance... new growth? The Baha'i Faith is referred to, in Baha'i scriptures, as the Crimson Ark. Green and red are opposites, complementary... and together...

should I stay or should I go?

R E S P E C T :D Yeah, I don't think there should be any attacking of any religion in any of the forums. There can be honest disagreement and differences of opinion, of course, but with respect and tolerance.
