    Nine Religions of Divine Origin

Ahanu, Thank you for pointing this out. I, regrettably, admit that I chose not to quote this excerpt nor follow the Guardian's directive about avoiding this controversial question. It is my lack of judgement and tact is leads me to quote Lights of Guidance, #1373, which infuriates some Bahá'is...

    Nine Religions of Divine Origin

Where did you find the bolded words? It's not in Ocean lol. Anyways, even if this quote is about Joseph Smith, the rationale behind him not being in our eyes a Prophet - Lesser or Greater - is that he is not mentioned in the Qu'rán, Bible, or the Bahá'i Writings. And guess what? Neither is the...

    A Thought

Shoghi Effendi's example of an explanation seems like a white lie but lying is prohibited in the Cause. Can someone explain this to me?

    Question of Iran

Ahanu, I'll gladly take back that statement if you can show me an article where the BIC addresses the human rights violations of a country other than Iran.

    Nine Religions of Divine Origin

It's my observation that some Bahá'is suck up to Native Americans. For example, they'll claim that the White Buffalo Calf Woman was a prophetess (see article in BahaiTeachings) when this notion conflicts with our teachings. So aside from the Qur'án, Bible, and the Bahá'i Writings, we cannot...

    Question of Iran

Will, Good point but my concern is having United States to fulfill this prophecy. Think about how much destruction and human suffering they'll bring. 89% of Iranians are Shias and in my opinion, just as the people of Iran brought on an Islamic revolution, the people of Iran will also have to be...

    Nine Religions of Divine Origin

In Islam, Zoroastrians (only considered by Shias), Jews, Christians, and Muslims are accounted among the People of the Book. That's 51% of the world population today who follows a religion of divine origin. In the Bahá'i Faith, with the above list of nine religions, that's 72% of the world's...

    Question of Iran

Alláh'u'Abhá! What if the Bahá'i International Community solely addresses the human rights violations of Iran (while ignoring 99% of humanity) in order to pressure UN, namely US, to attack Iran and topple the Islamic regime so that the prophecies of our Most Holy Book (Kitáb-i-Aqdas) will be...

    Nine Religions of Divine Origin

Sadly, I am probably doing more harm than good to the Faith due to my lack of political correctness. I'm not the type of person to sugarcoat the message in order to attract converts.

    Nine Religions of Divine Origin

This is my answer to the question of who are the Sabaeans. They are more commonly called, "Mandaeans". Bábism (the Báb) is distinct from the Báhai Faith (Bahá'u'lláh) just as Mandaeism (John the Baptist) is distinct from Christianity (Christ). Have you seen a Christian read the Book of John...

    Nine Religions of Divine Origin

So nine existing religions are of divine origin and according to my calculation, their total membership encompasses 3/4 of humanity. Therefore, in general, all religions are of divine origin but I do find this statement to be misleading.
