What music are you listening to?

I've been a fan of MUSE (a British alternative rock band) for several years and I was especially happy when they released the album "The 2nd Law" ... and one particular song in the album, "Follow Me", became my all-time favorite ... The composer of this song, Matthew Bellamy (the front man) had...

Was joining your particular religious order your own choice?

Bore me? Never! I would never ever get tired of hearing stories of people coming to faith. Their eyes widen beaming with excitement, as if they just won a million dollars (which they did in a spiritual currency!) ... they can't stop talking about it. It is often the case when I invite a newcomer...

Do you have a favorite Jesus movie?

Thanks for the videos, Frosty :) Maybe because I have a deafness to a highly-tuned complex Sci-Fi concept, I still didn't get it after watching the first clip ... whereas Thomas got it perfectly! So ... Morpheus is John the Baptist, Neo is the Christ, Mr. Smith is the Devil? Which character...

    The Bible and Risqué Films

Hi Frosty ... Before I opine, I must first read all her posts in this thread, so I can make a better assessment of what she is trying to convey as a whole, and that may take me a while. Looks like she added a few more new posts, and I haven't read them yet, but seems now the focus of the...

Was joining your particular religious order your own choice?

Frost! OF COURSE I BELIEVE YOU!! Because the same thing happened to me!! I was a so-called lukewarm Christian most of my life. I was a Christian because my parents were, and we went to church every Sunday [mostly for socializing], and got baptized as a child [without really understanding the...

What is your favorite Bible story and or quote and why?

That is another one of my most favorites! (tough to choose between this one and the Samaritan ... ) Nice to meet you, chongjasmine :)

What is your favorite Bible story and or quote and why?

Hi Thomas ... "Irenaeus and others ... so the anagogical interpretation was always around." Mmm ... then I'm forced to consider that the allegorical reading could have been passed on from John the Apostle through Polycarp ... that would add a strong credibility to 'your' interpretation ... but...

    The Bible and Risqué Films

By saying this, any conversation about Christianity can be stopped. I hope this forum is a place for "InterFaith" dialogue, not the place to invalidate the belief of one another. May I suggest that this comment is better suited in the other thread where the topic is if Jesus was married? I...

Do you have a favorite Jesus movie?

Ha-ha, I love your sense of humor. :) {Forgive me if you're not joking and are indeed deadly serious!} Then, Neo is the representation of the Christ? I only saw the first installment and don't remember much of it other than the still poses in the air...:p I should watch it one more time with...

    'You will burn in hell!'

Hi Frosty :) ~ no one is 'good' but God alone ~ I get what you mean. I shall rephrase to "who is desiring to have a purely good heart" ... I take the verse to mean one can only be purely good when one's heart reflects God's goodness. There are some people who achieve that. When a soldier dies...

What is your favorite Bible story and or quote and why?

Hi Thomas :) “So please accept this as my inspiration of that story. I'm not saying other interpretations are wrong, indeed far from it. The moral lesson is self-evident and acknowledged universally. ... I hope you do not think I'm trying to 'trump' yours, which is no less valid.” I very much...

What is Your Perception of God?

Thank you. I believe "one God in three persons" ... The Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God, and yet there are not three Gods but one God.

    'You will burn in hell!'

Each Christian may have his or her own concept of what a true Christian is. I can only tell you mine. It is someone who with a purely good heart, wishes everyone well, and fights against evil at all cost. Because that's what Christ did.

    'You will burn in hell!'

Nick, All the good people will inherit eternal life, doesn't matter what religion he or she belongs to. That's my belief. So it happens, I've posted the reason why I believe this way under the thread "What is your favorite Bible story and or quote and why?" (post No.3)
