    Thoughts about Trinity beliefs

That would be a version of prescribed justice in the OT, to be implimented in this worldly life. It says nothing about the possible scenarios in a life hereafter. One important difference between belief and disbelief, is in the concept that physical death is not the end of our spiritual...

    What the Hell?

I think @Thomas has already covered the topic of "eternal" , and I have also commented. (a very long time)

    What the Hell?

Well, most creeds claim that they have 'got it right' .. ..and here you go preferring a 'literal reading' in this instance. I see the destruction of a soul in a metaphorical sense .. breaking down .. total failure. Well, this is what atheists claim, when they say that so many people are...

    What the Hell?

That assumes that any "punishment" that a soul experiences is due to actions of "a person called G-d". I don't think that that is the case. Well, we know that pain serves as a signal to "correct" what is causing it. ..which is why you believe in a doctrine of 'blotted out' souls .. it's what...

    What the Hell?

If you are talking about empirical evidence, I don't think the 'Christianity forum' is the place for such discussion. Suffice to say, that Christians believe in a life after death.

    Thoughts about Trinity beliefs

Yes .. our lives mean something .. and not just on a superficial level. i.e. we eat, procreate, and die History is meaningful .. it has been accurately, cosmically recorded. Each and every one of us has a part to play. Our deeds affect our future .. including after death. It is just too...

    Thoughts about Trinity beliefs

That makes no sense to me .. if one knows naught after death, there is nothing to miss. What does it matter, if one lives forever or is 'blotted out'? Furthermore, that is NOT what Jesus taught according to the Gospels. ..unless one wishes to explain away verses in the NT as fictional or...

    What the Hell?

Perhaps you should ask @Thomas .. Are you saying that the concept does not exist in the Christian Bible?

    Thoughts about Trinity beliefs

..because our lives would have no cosmic meaning .. no matter what we do, it really makes no difference, because it is negated by oblivion. Well, that is the whole point .. that our physical death is not the 'end of the story'.

    What the Hell?

It is understood by most people to be something, which could perhaps be described as 'the essence' of a person, that does not die along with the physical body.

    Thoughts about Trinity beliefs

satan is created, just like you or I.. We are all capable of good and/or evil. Those who mistakenly turn towards evil ( particularly those who praise satan), are heading for a similar fate.

    Thoughts about Trinity beliefs

..if that is what you believe.. I believe that G-d created the UNIVERSE .. the time-space continuum. I believe that the soul does not die at physical death, and is not of physical matter. i.e. the soul is "from G-d" G-d cannot be destroyed .. G-d is (or literally 'I will be what I will be') ...

    What the Hell?

As I have already said, it is how I perceive the nature of reality .. particularly in the context of a life hereafter, where our deeds are no longer hidden. I do not see G-d as 'a person' or soul, that delivers justice as a human judge does. To me, the 'burning alive' signifies extreme...

    What the Hell?

I recently said: and you said "The Gospel – taken literally – says otherwise ..." ..so it would seem that you do sometimes like to take verses literally. :) However, I would agree with you that a metaphorical interpretation is more logical. ..such as a simlitude of an insane person screaming...

    Thoughts about Trinity beliefs

That depends what you mean by "chance" .. I believe that it is something to do with the nature of our souls. It's a bit like falling into a pit .. easy to fall in, but not so easy to get out. The more we incline to evil, the more damage is done to our souls .. and the more we "double down" with...

    Thoughts about Trinity beliefs

Really? There is some kind of soul factory where souls are made? What are they made of? ..of course, you cannot say .. because they are not of physical material. :) We all belong to G-d, and to Him we will return. G-d is not a person .. not a soul .. G-d is G-d .. He is One .. and there is...

    Thoughts about Trinity beliefs

..and that is the conundrum .. are we free to choose our own path, or are we being manipulated? Assuming we are free to choose, whether or not there would be a "beneficial outcome" would depend on our repentance .. and changing the path we are on. Now, you may assume that any sane person would...

    Thoughts about Trinity beliefs

Mmm, I agree with that.. None but G-d knows how long a soul will suffer in the future, and for how long that might be. ..but the fact that souls will suffer for a very long time is enough to take the warning seriously.
