For those who care, other than a miniscule honorarium I have never made any money as a rabbi. All my income came from my secular employment.

    The Kaballah

I wasn't arguing whether or not tradition is received. I was simply pointing out an error, a basic error, in the first sentence in the Guenon material you posted.

    The Kaballah

I've not had the time to sit down and read through this passage, however it has gotten off to a rocky start from my perspective. The word קבלה does not mean tradition. It means simply something that is received. Certainly it can refer to a tradition, but it is not limited to that.

Be still and know that I am God

Allow me to quote myself. "It’s a great line. It’s not a bad piece of advice. The one thing it is not, however, is a good translation of the Hebrew, especially given the context of the psalm. The psalm is a battle psalm. The verse in question is a warning to the nations fighting against Israel...

    Recent Convert to Christ

I didn't say that he would post something that he did not agree with. I simply wondered if your increased respect for @wil was based solely on the positions espoused in the piece or whether it was based, at least in part, on the writing which you, or someone else, might have thought was from him...

You could learn to type with your nose. More seriously, do what you need to do to heal. Take the time you need to heal. Somebody will hold down the fort until you get back.

Just curious as to the source of your numbers, how those numbers are broken down and the time frame covered.

Terrorism and the forces of evil.

You can’t be so unknowledgeable as to believe that Zionism is monolithic, that all who identify as Zionists think exactly the same, act exactly the same, walk in mindless lock step together. Of course that might explain why you use the word “Zionism“ as a perjorative.

    Beyond Complications

Apparently someone got lost, maybe made a wrong turn. The Politics and Society subform is a couple subforums south of here. When you get there just take the exit that says Gaza-Israel.

A question regarding Kosher / Kashrut

I presume you are using the term kosher in its broader context not in the dietary sense.
