    Buddhism and Christianity

What about experiences they have sans veil? Because you have identified them as mistakes, do you really think they are mistakes? Or possibly that is the only way your mind can process them. Have you ever considered the possibility that they are not mistakes? Perhaps you can get closer to God...

I realize you have left the premises...but Jesus is not a Christ, but the Christ. (and the Son of God is not a Buddha)

No problem, thanks. I'm Biblically based. Do you mean dying to self and living in Him? In the end, Christians should have others best interest at heart. (That includes time that they understand really isn't theirs.) Karen (Patti is my cat.)

You are more than welcome to your own opinion but, please say so. "even Christians still exist with a temporary veil between ourselves and God. We get closer to piercing that veil the closer we draw to Christ and let Him fill us, dying to self and living in Him."

Path Of One A "woefully inadequate" descrption is definitely an individual description. I really don't think we are too far apart (although there are major differences) and I don't want you to assume that I am being sensitive, but I object to your presumption of speaking for all Christians.

Yes, quite a bit. I personally experienced God, knew about Christ, but really never met Him until a few years ago. Christians you agree with may have this pseudo-veil, but what about the ones you don’t agree with you? What about experiences they have sans veil? Because you have identified them...

    The Promised Messiah

The genealogy of Luke and the genealogy of Matthew agree exactly with the line between Abraham and David. From David to Mary in Luke, or from David to Joseph in Matthew, the lineage changes. Only three times do the two different accounts mention the same names, Shealtiel, Zerubbabel, and...

Oh Snoopy, it is an automatic reflex. Buddhism and Christianity are NOT on the same playing field and I wasn't getting defensive. I did think it was a nice try. (but no go):)

Cultural lenses need to be well respected, although an honest introduction to Christ can be most appreciated. It's a good thing Jesus tore that veil right in half. (Top to bottom, not bottom to top, like some like to think.)

Just in case someone may be tempted to overlook the obvious... Most of Siddartha Guatomo's teachings were absolutely beautiful. (personally, I think if the timing were better, he would have been a Christian :D)... but alas he died. CHRIST LIVES! (if someone pointed this out in an earlier...
