    obsessive religious behavior

There's folks obsessed with religion and as witnessed on IO from time to time, there's also folks obsessed with discounting religion. Did a photo essay of India several years back and ran across this bloke with both arms folded over his head. Some locals were feeding him by the side of the road...

    This Life and the Next

Been a while since my last update. Nanna Gymea's mini-me is doing well. She's walking and talking now and just as spooky as ever. Just started calling me Boy. Not altogether sure, but I suspect my brother's put her up to it. You see, ever since I was a little blighter, that's how Nanna Gymea'd...

    Sexality

Same here, 21 years this coming August. Made a solemn vow before God and fully intend to honor it. The way I see it, you can either let carnal desire rule your life or tell it to get thee hence.

Something I read earlier today that I don't know where to put

Happy New Year folks. All said and done down here and thankfully, I slept right through it. -:D Big doings this year as our indigenous culture was included in the festivities. It's never exactly been excluded, just that a lot of Aboriginal cultures lack a 'New Year' concept. Unlike ours, their...

    "Merry Christmas 2018"

Nice your little folk helped with the tree this year.:D Gathering round the tree was a big thing when I was coming up. Can still hear me dad's voice as he read the Bible. "....I have heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found." Hosea 14:8 Man, that just...

    Spirituality: Should it replace religion?

I've been know to say that. Not rejecting 'organized religion' per se, just mean though I'm Christian and read the Bible, I've never felt the need to do so in a structured church setting. We were always taught at home and I still commune with God on that level.

    Holiday Traditions

Our family's always celebrated 25 December as the conception rather than birth of Jesus, but that aside, Christmas traditions down here are pretty much the same as the states. Decorations, carols, parties, holiday food, gifts. Our local mission puts on a nice little Christmas Eve pageant for...

    Inflame thyself in prayer

Prayer for me is just having a chat with the creator as you would a mate for whom you share an undying bond. Guess that gets a wee inflamed at times.
