Something I read earlier today that I don't know where to put

https://www.nbcboston.com/news/health/man-has-tooth-implanted-in-eye-to-restore-vision/3807265/ A man's vision has been restored by literally putting one of his teeth in his eye. I wonder who came up with this idea? And it worked!

    What's For Dinner?

My wife loves my lasagna! I made it while she was at work as a surprise. Found out my son is a huge fan! If he smells leftover lasagna being made in the microwave he immediately runs to the drawer and grabs a fork. It's the cutest thing seeing him play with a toy, smell the lasagna, and...

Compilation of arguments against the existence of Jesus

We've discussed this topic extensively in the past. So I'm surprised someone was "concerned" that some people don't know the reason why some people don't believe Jesus existed. However, according to most of the above criteria, a LOT of historical figures didn't exist either. Jesus is more...

What is the actual evidence for the existence of Jesus?

So 5,000 people is the magic number? If you spoke to 5,000 people that would automatically make you famous? I did end up on television with an audience of over 50,000. Somehow I'm not famous. Or does that not count either? As far as the 5,000 are concerned, didn't the crowd assemble...

What is the actual evidence for the existence of Jesus?

I'm not famous and I've spoken to over a thousand people at one time. If He WAS famous, why wouldn't the leadership know of Him? He wasn't famous yet, that's why. I didn't say that commoners didn't participate in the census. I'm saying 1. no census records exist today from that place and...

What is the actual evidence for the existence of Jesus?

"Unicorn" just means "one-horned". So if an animal has one horn, or at least one very dominant horn, it could be classified as a unicorn. So I'd think it should be higher than fairies as well.

What is the actual evidence for the existence of Jesus?

We actually covered this in another thread (not sure which one). There is no census naming commoners from that area. For over 20 years I have put people to the test and challenged them to find one. One user on here claimed one existed. He retracted that claim when he realized there is no...

What is the actual evidence for the existence of Jesus?

He had maybe a thousand people who came to see Him? Maybe more. But when He was up for execution nobody seemed to even care about Him. Pontius Pilate had never heard of Him. Neither did King Herod. So He wasn't famous. Most definitely didn't believe He was the Messiah. He was a commoner...

"Believing in science" - what does that mean?

Why not be diverse? We can cut down some trees for a wood stove or for cooking from time to time. Our electrical grid can be run on nuclear, solar, wind, water, etc. I'm a proponent of nuclear energy useage. Yes, medicine has done plenty of good. But humanity sure likes to ruin it.

"Believing in science" - what does that mean?

Oops! Fat and NOT healthy. It was presented as science by some media outlets and even in schools. I remember it being shown as scientific fact in a health class at a school where I worked. I had my doubts because my uncle actually was part of a study where he had to eat McDonald's every day...

"Believing in science" - what does that mean?

Here is an example of someone trying to push "science". Often documentaries push a scientific discovery yet the results aren't peer reviewed. Many of you remember "Super Size Me". It was shown in schools and proved that fast food would make you fat and very healthy rather quickly. It was a...

    Tulsi Gabbard

iBrian brought up RFK Jr. not that long ago. So I doubt it is an issue as long as we don't start talking about that ugly "p" word. RFK Jr. has been on a similar career path as Tulsi. I don't think there's anything political to argue here. I was just wondering about her religious background...

    The gut-brain connection

A few years ago I was reading an article about the gut-heart connection. Scientists were theorizing that the stomach could control heart rhythms. Don't know whatever happened with that research. I sometimes wonder how much our organs affect each other.
