Doesn't she follow the Hindu faith? I'm so confused.

"Believing in science" - what does that mean?

It doesn't change my answer just by the wording. But with you being more specific and listing what science refers to, I can be more thorough. Let me first say that I do have close friends who are scientists. They actually influence my opinion on "science". Science is a cutthroat business...

"Believing in science" - what does that mean?

Obviously I was being hypothetical. Glad you saw my point. If you'd like to talk about the Exodus I'm certain there are threads still open on the matter.

Something I read earlier today that I don't know where to put

The food there is so yummy! But also so expensive! I took my wife and daughter to the Minnesota State Fair a few years ago. The food for the day cost over $200.

Campbell's soup and PBR are making soup together. I'm so surprised that Walmart is the place showcasing this collaboration. https://oddnews.com/article/campbells-and-pbr-collaborate-to-make-chunky-beer/

"Believing in science" - what does that mean?

It wasn't intended to be science. If I were to write a story about some crazy things I witnessed, I wouldn't expect anyone to accept my writing as a science book. So if some 80-year old man led me and some friends through a sea that he had just parted, I wouldn't expect to be mentioned in a...

What is the actual evidence for the existence of Jesus?

Aside from the Bible, there isn't really any first-hand evidence of his existence. But Jesus was a commoner. He wasn't considered royalty, wasn't famous, and wasn't rich. If there were any first-hand witness evidence, I would be surprised. It was after his death that he became famous...

"Believing in science" - what does that mean?

That would mean that their gods would be wrong. It would also make their gods subservient to their subjects. If gods did exist, and they created and understood life and the universe, it would be very odd telling these gods that they need to change their stories to agree with current human...

"Believing in science" - what does that mean?

One thing I often mention, which can't be repeated enough, is that good science can predict when applied. So if someone believes in a scientific conclusion, but all or most of the predictions that come from this conclusion end up failing, then it is poor science.

"Believing in science" - what does that mean?

I believe that every student should be required to take a stats course. It's amazing how gullible people are when they are presented with stats. I have seen stats presented with less than 10 participants yet presented as reliable. And if the statistic seems to agree with someone's opinion...

"Believing in science" - what does that mean?

And if you won't take my word for anything I've said, do take the word of Richard Horton, editor of the Lancet. "The case against science is straightforward: much of the scientific literature, perhaps half may simply be untrue. Afflicted by studies with small sample sizes, tiny effects...

"Believing in science" - what does that mean?

I don't recall ever saying that I "believed in science". It's because I don't trust scientific research, especially in my own country. Why? Because it is so corrupt. It also so flawed. It is influenced by money, the media and politics among other factors. Let me give you a few examples...

    Robert F Kennedy Jr

Feel free to do some research. I just know the laws of my own country. But I'm certain that any monarchy, socialist nation, or communist nation would have state run media that would be more than forthcoming with unbiased information of legal action taken against them for forcing a Covid...

In our country the main person responsible for disinformation has been pardoned for the entirety of his work on this virus. He's untouchable for any crime he committed from January 2014 to the present. This is the first time in our country that a president laid out blanket pardons for crimes...

What's the health service like where you are?

My experience has varied by state and city. I have a daughter with many health issues. She has had many visits to the ER. Most of the time she has been admitted within minutes. But one year we were on vacation in Florida. We spent 6 hours in the ER before we could be seen. Thankfully she...

What's the health service like where you are?

You are correct. Often those with insurance are charged double the price of those who don't have insurance. It has to do with the negotiations between the insurance companies and the providers. It's somewhat complicated, but you are definitely not imagining it. In some cases it actually does...
