Questions about trial and tribulation and the prophets..

Wa'alaikum salam, From your question it seems that you consider all other prophets/messengers as those who had sinned. This is not correct. Sheikh Muhammed Salih Al-Munajjid explained that, firstly, the use of the word “sin” is a grave mistake, because sin (khatee’ah, pl. khataayaa) is...

a few questions about men and women in Islam

h| InLove, Nope, they cant be alone together. Al-Nawawi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: “If a man is alone with a non-mahram [1] woman, without there being a third person present, this is haraam [forbidden] according to the consensus of the scholars.Similarly, if the person with them is one...

    Praying

Wa'Alaikum salaam, This seems to be your personal view on hadith, which does not represent mainstream Islam. Still, i'm confused about two things here. You said "I do not pay much attention to the Hadith since it is complied and created by humans--at least 100 yrs after Prophet Muhammad's death"...

    Praying

Salam, The timings that you are referring to are the timings of the Obligatory prayers. You can pray naafil (extra) prayers if you like. There are some times in the 24-hour day when you're not supposed to pray but, otherwise, pray as much as you like.

a few questions about men and women in Islam

h|, Generally, the word 'zina' is used which refers to fornication or adultery. But Zina (adultery, fornication) does not refer only to penetration, rather there is the zina of the hand, which is touching that which is forbidden, and the zina of the eyes, which is looking at that which is...

    ahadith & Qur'an

h| cool_aid2006, Ahadith (plural of hadith) are not contained in the Quran. The Quran is considered the Word of God by Muslims. Ahadith are not considered that. Please see the following glossary for help: http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/reference/glossary/term.HADITH.html Since you would be reading...

    Fatwas and Osama Bin Ladin

h|, The thread was fine here. Islam is a way of life. Politics is a part of life. Islam has politics in it. Ofcourse, what islam means by politics is a separate issue. anyway, there was no need to take my comments from the thread and post in another place but you have already done that. You...

Its fine here. dont worry. No, there is no such thing in islam.:p I can tell you what Islam expects people to practice. People have a free will. Its thier choice to follow or not. So, ill tell you what Islam says in this regard. Islam prohibits the boyfriend/girlfriend concept that is...

    Fatwas and Osama Bin Ladin

No, i dont. Maybe because you missed where i mentioned "Sheikh Muhammad Sayyed Tantawi, considered a high authority for the world’s one billion Sunni Muslims, has repeatedly condemned terrorism in all its forms." Let me add that earlier this year, a leading Saudi cleric Sheikh Abdulrahman...

    Fatwas and Osama Bin Ladin

H|, Interestingly, Shiekh bin Baaz and Shiekh Ibn Uthaymeen are exactly those people whom, when the time is convenient, people will label as Wahhabis (synonymous with terrorist). go figure. Al-Qaeda is not & never has been an "Islamic force" if i cud call it that. The vast majority of imams in...

Does Bukhari justify the murder of Jews?

h| Brian, i pretty much agree with farhan here. Its about the end times. No need to explain to you what kind of time that will be. You quoted a hadith from sahih muslim as well. It should be noted that Book 41 is titled "Turmoil And Portents Of The Last Hour". even the text that you quoted...
