Do we (Muslims, Christians and Jews) believe in the same God or not?

You know what? To an extent, I agree with your point after reading the above. My opinion appears rather judgmental in its briskness, so I thank you for giving me the opportunity to clarify. The theological consideration of Islam and Judaism is staunchly monotheistic. Christianity attempts...

Why Don't Jews Sacrifice Animals Anymore?

Just wanted to add that sacrifices do not bring about atonement/forgiveness. My understanding is that they are an outward expression of an inward heart condition: repentant. Without repentance, a sacrifice would be made in vain. Furthermore, atonement/forgivess can come about in more than...

Question on Isaiah 28 and 61.

Shalom Banana: In a post above, you make mention of the "two Messiahs". I wanted to ask just briefly if you take the Messiah ben Yosef to be a "real" person? Recently, I have read where Messiah ben Yosef is more of a midrashic representation of the "yetzer hara". The destruction of the...

    Moshiach

Are you discussing that any where that I could read your POV?

Do we (Muslims, Christians and Jews) believe in the same God or not?

My opinion would be that: 1) Jews and Muslims worship a similar G-d (may very well be the same). 2) The Christian G-d is not the same as the Hebrew G-d. JMHO.

The Holy One of Israel in the Old Testament

I believe you're trying to read the trinity back into the Tanakh. The Messiah does not equate to the "Son" in the trinity. Am I misunderstanding what you're trying to ask?

    Moshiach

I can't speak for anyone else, but myself, because the Noachides come from a varied lot. Just recently, an agnostic acquaintance of mine really started investigating the Seven Laws of Noach. My departure went like this (and I'll try to be short for brevity): 1) Lost belief in the trinity...

    Moshiach

Shalom ICA: You may certainly ask! The "Noachide movement" is not a sect of Judaism. It is, essentially, the moral code/commandments that were established for all of mankind in the covenant with Noach. The short form of this code is "The Seven Laws of Noach". The following is taken...

Mind if a Noachide chills out here?

Shalom Banana: Thank you very much. I look forward to spending more time here. It looks like a rather pleasant place, and I'm glad that vajradhara recommended it to me.

    Moshiach

Shalom Banana: Thank you for the clarification. I have only heard snippets from some of my Jewish friends as to the consideration of the Sanhedrin. It's kind of interesting how the breakdown goes (from my POV): Orthodox Jews - little to no support of the Sanhedrin Conservative Jews - a...

Mind if a Noachide chills out here?

Hello Everyone: Just logged in, and figured I would come to the one area that is the closest to my belief structure. Does anyone mind if a Noachide comes and hangs out with ya? See you guys around.

    Moshiach

The Sanhedrin that is being developed now is not getting a whole lot of support, because the members are anonymous and it is not being set up correctly. I can't answer for Bananabrain, but my understanding is that when Moshiach returns - the Temple will be rebuilt, sacrifices reinstituted...
