How do you use this site?

Mechanically I mean.

I used to have my preferences set to reverse order of posts on the threads. So when I clicked on a topic from new posts it would provide me with the latest but posts were all 'upside down'

I had to scroll down the page to look at old ones to catch up and then they scroll back and forth.

I recently switched it to the normal way and then click on the litle arrow to goto the latest post in that thread.

Then I scroll up to find out where I left off, but sometimes that requires backing up a page...So the continuity of the thread is correct but finding where you left off reading is more cumbersome.

Anyone have a better/preferred way?

Is it possible that there is a feature that we could add that would allow us to click so it would go to the place we last read that thread? That would be wunnerful.....am I just too nitpicky here?
 
Have you ever noticed how the posts you haven't read (or been on the page of) have a little green

in the upper left corner, by the date it was posted, while the older posts have a gray one? ;)

See there...yes...I mean no, I haven't noticed, but that is exactly the kind of trick that will help me after having been here for years!!
 
So what does the green means? I'd like to know how to insert an avatar, I've tried to, gone to the page indicated, chose one, yet no luck.
