ufobuster

Im not sure if this is appropriate to post this here or anywhere for that matter but I was recently a guest on this blog radio show. I wanted to put it out here in case anyone was interested in a laugh or two. :p

show4 What the heck is up with religion 6/17/2009 - UFOBUSTER on Blog Talk Radio

Interesting post !! Can you give us a summary of the key points ? Also, is there a way to navigate once inside the show, it seems like there are no navigation tools, did I miss them ??

Namaste FS,

was that you amongst all the static?? fallen angels and the like, I could hardly decipher the static was louder than the conversation....

wil, Its baffling because when I and others go to listen to it its clear as a bell with zero static... maybe "someone or something" doesnt want you to hear it :p

Avi. its basically a podcast about aliens and UFO's with different topics for each show. My week was UFO's from my Christian standpoint and ideas that I have about what and who they are. I sound like a 17 yo idiot and if I could redo it I would

As far as navigational tools.. its a podcast.. maybe go to iTunes its under ufobuster and d/l or better yet subscribe. :)

I can hear it FS.

Though I have to admit that the first time I went to the site I didn't have my sound on and just stared at the screen for a few seconds before moving one.

So now I'm listening...

The biggest shock is I thought you were a guy. Imagine my surprise when I first heard that voice!

As for you message...

I'm very happy that you've found truth and peace. They're difficult to come by.

Although I'm sorry that you have to live in Texas. Maybe you could drop everything and split for the coast. You could crash at my place. I'll let my wife know to expect guests.

you're not the first to think I was a guy.. is it the avatar? I had someone apologize to me for being sexist but he doesnt expect women to be smart right off the bat!! lol I think its funny.

I had fun doing the show and the host wants me to come back and debate with a few other people that worship these aliens.. should be quite entertaining! Thanks for the invite... especially since its going to be 103 degrees on the 4th :(

Afraid my poor connection prevents me from listening. They worship aliens?:p What was that about? earl

They believe the earth was seeded by these aliens...making them in a sense gods. You know that the egyptian gods horus and ra etc... were supposed to be from the "heavens" or outer space.

Hi FS, I listened to your radio show and it was very interesting. You sound like a very nice person.

Since you are posting in the Science sub-forum and not the Christian sub-forum, I think it is fair to discuss within the scientific context, do you agree ? On that basis, I think you are on very shakey ground. You are mixing science and religion and mythology and there is virtually no real link to science.

Interestingly, I actually think there is one possible link to life being connected extraterrestially, but you are not thinking along those lines.

What I do not understand is why believing God has to be seperate from believing in science. Science supports inter-dimensions.. Science supports gene-manipulation. Science supports hybrid species which is the nephilim I spoke of. God supports science.. God did create everything and we are only just learning His language of creation which is proving to be mathematics. So I do not agree that I am not speaking scientifically when I am speaking of God and the bible.

Good luck with your line of inquiry Avi.

I wouldn't expect it to go much further beyond the answer you just received. :D

Lets talk about this character flaw. You insult and then you paste a big grin.. like that makes it ok. It doesnt make it ok. Its mean. Its insulting. Its condescending. It doesnt make you look superior and witty it just makes you look mean. Why would you want to look mean? If you are going to insult at least have the "huevos" to do it without the grin.

brian, you will probably tell me to not make personal attacks but the majority of his posts to me have been personal attacks in one form or another. When is sarcasm ok and when is it not ok?

It makes me regret posting anything.

A lesson I learned a long time ago, if I step in between two parties throwing punches, I will probably get hit in the jaw !!

I will return to this thread later !!

Thats God given wisdom and had it been a different day I would have ignored him. But sometimes you have to step up and say bad form!

I look forward to hearing your response Avi.

I believe in the supernatural and a lot of our science of today would have been pretty unbelievable a couple hundred years ago. So I have a tendency to question everything and stretch my imagination..

FS,

You still have trouble with that whole 'turning the other cheek' malarkey don't you ;)

It was my mistake Tao.

I've chatted with Avi enough to know that he's a believer in science and that FS is a literal interpreter of the Bible. I was trying to let him know that the discussion wasn't going to go very far, but I would have been better off letting him find that out for himself.

My apologies to FS and Avi, for butting into your discussion without offering something more substantive. FS, while I can't promise that I won't infuriate you in the future, I'll try to make sure your anger is caused by a subject germane to the topic being discussed.

Peace out, my little Texas tornado.

No problem CZ.

Actually the reason that I posted on this thread was because it caught my attention that FS had participated in a radio blog, and I always think it is cool to see technology being used in novel ways.

Also, in terms of literal interpretation of the Bible, I know many people who are literal believers, and have had very interesting discussions. In some cases they know more about the OT than I do, even though I am Jewish. It depends how it is approached. If there is mutual respect and interest in learning, a lot can often be accomplished. And that is the feeling I get about how FS approaches it, from her posts that I have seen so far.

But the reason for my second post on this thread was because although I do not agree that aliens have visited us, I do think there are some interesting possibilities about life beginning extraterrestially:

Origin of organic molecules

There are two possible sources of organic molecules on the early Earth:
  1. Terrestrial origins - organic synthesis driven by impact shocks or by other energy sources (such as ultraviolet light or electrical discharges) (eg.Miller's experiments)
  2. Extraterrestrial origins - delivery by objects (eg carbonaceous chondrites) or gravitational attraction of organic molecules or primitive life-forms from space
Recently, estimates of these sources suggest that the heavy bombardment before 3.5 Ga within the early atmosphere made available quantities of organics comparable to those produced by other energy sources.[29]

I think this idea is one that people are still getting used to.

FS, I believe in both G-d and science. I am not suggesting that you should not.

Science supports inter-dimensions.. Science supports gene-manipulation. Science supports hybrid species

Right !

which is the nephilim I spoke of.

Now I think you are diverging from what we would call science.

God supports science..

How ? My reading about G-d leads me to believe in a pantheistic or perhaps panentheist view of G-d. Interestingly, in my opinion this vision of G-d is very consistent with the OT view of G-d. In this view G-d is non-anthropomorphic and non-corporeal. How can this G-d support anything ?

God did create everything and we are only just learning His language of creation which is proving to be mathematics.

I kind of like that interpretation :)

So I do not agree that I am not speaking scientifically when I am speaking of God and the bible.

Perhaps we can discuss this further ....

Its all good. Ive had this same situation with a few other people here. As I reflect theres never been an intention to hurt its more a style of posting but I wear my heart on my sleeve in most things and I have never responded well to mockery and sarcasm. Im up front and honest and I dont believe sarcasm is honest it seems very passive aggressive to me which is probably why I dont deal well with it. Anyways.. apologies accepted and thank you for the respect of offering it when you really didnt have to. :)
