I hereby vote . . .

I hereby vote that "Shaolin Soccer" is the koolest movie ever made.*

*Okay. That is a bit of a stretch. But it is entertaining.

LOL! That is so kool. There's this practice where the shaolin monks blow out candles with the wind issuing from their powerful fist blows. I viewed some of the other Shaolin Soccer videos, and the wind issuing from his kick blows the opponents hair up, down, left, or right, depending on the direction their foot took.

In the US in the 70's and 80's Dennis Brown was all over the covers of martial arts magazines...he still goes every year with students to work with the Shaolin monks.

A friend of mine who is now a Mikal Abdul Muhamin, who is now a Buddhist Priest was a student and teacher of his for years...kung fu and tai chi was his game. He now is at a retreat center near Ashville, NC.

I also recommend this video after watching the one featuring the vanilla ice and eminem songs:

YouTube - FUTBOL A LA MATRIX

Watching their clothes be ripped to shreds is so hilarious. Thanks for the good laugh tonight, citizenzen.
That was super funny. Like, really funny.

Wil, I've been to Asheville and I now agree that it is probably the town that This Present Darkness was fashioned on. All kinds of NEW AGE retreats and other reportedly "Satanic" activity going on there. Unwitting celebrities reportedly go there to meditate, minds wide open (just like boiling cauldrons). Just like the 'Ville in the books, Asheville has a recently Liberal mindset that (through obscenely massive immigration of New Agers) quickly overpowered the population of a previously conservative 'sleepy little town'. Don't forget to read the follow up book Piercing the Darkness. Woo, scary! The people who did Transformers should make it into a movie, and they should definitely film it in Asheville. That town has got everything!

Did you just hear something? Boy, I sure did.
