The Believers in the pagan capitol of Colossi were warned to be wary of heathen traditions that would spoil the followers of Messiah. Despite Shauls (Paul) warning, the modern Gentile Christian church has turned a deaf ear to the Creators instructions and has adopted the form, philosophy, and traditions of Babylonian sun god worship.

Thanks, Shawn. I watched the videos and picked out a couple of nuts and bolts to use in my own engines. A lot I disagreed about, but its interesting to learn another of the types of messianic Christians that are out there. I found a wikipedia article about Michael Rood and quote it here, since it is short:
Michael Rood is a self-proclaimed Messianic preacher who "traveled the globe exhibiting ... Bible-confirming archaeology, and proclaiming that the "Feasts of the LORD" are precise prophetic shadow pictures by which our Creator has revealed the Messiah, and His plan for the created universe. Through his multi-media seminars, ... dubbed "A Rood Awakening!", Michael has invited hundreds of thousands of people around the world to "Leave your western, Gentile mentality behind, and explore the Scriptures (from Genesis to Revelation) from a Hebrew, or Jewish, perspective", and return to the faith of the First Century followers of Messiah Y'shua (Jesus)."[1]

He is an advocate of the use of the Hebrew Lunar and Agricultural Calendar. Michael Rood's teaching is aired on Sky Angel satellite television.

Rood is a former U.S. Marine.

It is owned by Dominion Video Satellite, Inc. I don't know what group controls it, however Sky Angel runs non-Adventist programs as well as Adventist ones. Michael Rood, for instance, isn't an SD Adventist but is involved in 'Way International'.

Wow, the tired old "Babylonian" lie pops up again.

Likewise, this group is claiming that Christians are bound by the whole of the old Law, including dietary restrictions. What does the Christian Bible say?

" For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay upon you no greater burden than these essentials: that you abstain from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication; if you keep yourselves free from such things, you will do well. Farewell." Acts 15:28-29

In other words, they are part of the host of "false prophets" we are warned to avoid.

I did not know Adventists were into the Hislop fad. So Rev Woodrow is/was Adventist? I could not find a specific link telling me, though his name popped up in a QA session with an Adventist editor. I could see why you might called Ellen G. White a prophet, since she claimed to be one. I don't know if I'd call all of the Adventists prophets. Probably some are.

Here is a chart comparing sects by a site that claims to be ecumenical. Actually it does not appear ecumenical to me, but the chart is interesting. Apparently Way International is not the same as the SDA. The man in the video is probably with Way Int.
