Hello friends. I have been interested in religion and spirituality for about 4 years now. I have devoted much of my life to seeking truth and studying theology from a Biblical standpoint. From that studying came a denouncing of many views I held as orthodox, such as literal 6-day creationism, eternal torment (hell), the trinity, and the bible being the 100% word of God.
I believe in one universal God, who is incorporeal, a being of unfathomable sovereignty and who is greatly beyond any attempt of comprehension. I believe him (or it, him is merely more of a convention to make it seem more personal) to be a personal God who has an active role in the world (very active, in fact; I am a firm believer in predestination). I fit in no mainstream or non-mainstream Christian denomination. I am most like a Christian-influenced Unitarian Universalist.
Other interests include science (physics, chemistry, biology), mathematics, philosophy, psychology, music, weapons, computers, and video games. I enjoy all academia. I believe all are relevant to my search for truth and that all work together to reveal the Ultimate Truth.
I look forward to the many debates and discussions of which I can be part on this forum. I am not new to forum; throughout five years, I have probably frequented more than 10, at least 5 of which were spirituality/religious forums. I currently frequent 2 (3, including this one, if things work out).
