Cell of the Organism

The particular symbology that I inherited from my linked
contemplations regarding my Self was that of a cell of an organism.
I was shown that sentient beings ~ and I am not referring to the
physical species, but the collective mind ~ is the evolving cells of
an organism which I refer to as the active principle. This active
principle appears to be evolving from a place of no Self awareness
into a place of expanding Self consciousness, requiring gradually
more complex physical brains to house it. My perception is that the
collective conscious level of sentient awareness reflects nearly (as
the organism is greater than the sum of its parts) the level of the
active principle's present awareness. As above, so below.

As an individual I could see a collective path that appears to be
taken - from physical to emotional to mental to Self awareness. As a
whole, humanity seems to have evolved along this path from physical
animals (neanderthal), to the feminine cultures of yore (earth based
spirituality) , to the masculine age (inner based spirituality) we
now are traversing, to the christ (causal) consciousness that many
religions, and spiritual disciplines are intuiting. In my
contemplations I have perceived the active principle would be
traversing the same path from physicality, to exoteric, to esoteric
to causal, because we are cells of it.

In my perception, it would not be a path of lessons and karma, but
is instead a path from little Self awareness (body-centric) to
expanding consciousness (awareness of the Self). What is conceived
as lessons may instead be the fact that I will repeat behavioral
patterns until through advancement in evolution, my perceptions
expand to recognize the need to implement new avenues beyond
outmoded ways of action. This may also explain why we reincarnate.
If the active principle (organism) is not fully Self aware and is
still requiring various physical forms to evolve within, then the
cells would have to exist within the same reality. A cell cannot be
greater than the organism it is a part of.

As a collective whole, humanity appears to have arrived at the cusp
of esoteric (mental/masculine) awareness, with the renewed presence
of the exoteric (emotional/feminine) coming into balance with it
(the expanding center), and the causal is beginning to manifest. I
did not have to look very far into the world to see this balance
taking place between the masculine & feminine aspects of awareness.
Science & Spirituality finding some common ground. The androgynous
culture of youth that is being birthed these days, where sexuality
is blurred. The slow march of women taking on more and more roles
within the traditionally masculine culture. Anyone could probably
add many examples of the balancing, and friction of the balancing of
the masculine/feminine (active/passive) energies these days if they
contemplated on it.

The symbolism of organism and cell immediately appealed to me,
because at the time I was trying to figure out my place in the
greater scheme of things, and also trying to keep check of my
script. The idea of becoming my function as a cell within the
greater organism was a good way to discover my Self, and at the same
time place a harness on the awakening Self's emerging abilities and
talents. It has always been important for me that it not be about
me, but instead what I might be able to offer to the whole. The cell
analogy also takes the specialness out of being called. The active
principle did not choose me. I simply am what I am.

The evolution of the active principle programs me as my function
serves/adds to the whole. I did not do anything to come into my
awareness. The active principle's influence has led me from the
darkness of the dream, and I emerged into an awesome connectivity
that is beyond physical, beyond emotional, and beyond mental. Once I
was able to connect to the organism, then I quickly became privvy to
some of the production that goes on behind the veil of the dream.

One of the nice things about this analogy is that I did not have to
view the active principle as a deity. Personally, I don't think it
matters if someone does perceive the active principle as God, but
obviously my definition differs greatly from most spiritual and
religious concepts, which see God/deity as fully conscious. I see
the active principle as becoming conscious as evolution (the waking
process) unfolds.

The active principle for me would not be a separate entity, but an
organism that is currently thresholding between esoteric (inward
path towards Self awareness) and causal Self awareness (lucidity).
As a cell of this collective, and therefor as the microcosm, I have
nearly the same potential of Self awareness. To imagine the scope
from the organism's first entry into the dream (The Big Bang) to the
present place on the continuum, I find this an awesome time to be
incarnated.

It is unfolding so fast in the past century that it is difficult to
keep up with the dizzying pace. The frontiers are collapsing into
the present so quickly that there seems little left to discover of
the exoteric (the objective), but much evolving still needs to
happen subjectively before the next step in evolution of the whole
seems likely to be realized.
