In the last decade, their use of antidepressants has risen, while their life expectancy has fallen. Many would change jobs if they could.

I don't see the collar as an indication of doing the lord's work. There are many folks on the street happily doing the lord's work...without stress, with joy. I thank and love them angels.
 
Semantical quibbling aside, part of this work-associated health problem is due to the authoritarian approach most people have regarding religion. When one submits to the clergy as if they were God, then they are expected to do far more than they ever could.
