Forgot to mention —
Good catlick as I am, the other special day in December is the 21st, when the days start to get longer, and for me, summer's on its way.
Last week, biking to work, was the first time I felt the warmth of the sun on the back of my jacket since late Autumn (or Fall, to my colonial cousins) ... ye-ha! (a quiet one, obviously, we are English, remember).
So to all on IO, may the Spring warm your soul and your bones, and may this year be better than the last.
For those of you into such things, this year will be my first Glastonbury Festival — my family's been five times now, part of an extended social group, I've always been studying ... I'm a 'Glastonbury Virgin' according to my daughters, but then one of our women friends slipped her arm through mine, "Not for long ... "
