Are Disk Brakes Pads made of Asbestos legally sold in your country?

I guess their might be some countries that still produce this product for sale. But I don't know.

But I if it is, that major city would have air-borne smog composed of high levels of Asbestos fibers.

Asbestos pads were phased out in the United States some time ago, but old stock can still occasionally be found on some parts shelves. Currently most brake pads are either, organic, semi-metallic or ceramic.

Organic brake pads are made from other non-metallic materials, such as glass, rubber, high-heat resins, and Kevlar.

Semi-metallic brake pads typically consist of steel, iron, copper, etc. combined with friction modifiers and fillers, as well as a graphite lubricant.

Ceramic pads are composed of a dense ceramic material (like pottery fired in a kiln) with embedded copper fibers.

You'd have to have a 30 year old car to have brake pads that contained asbestos...

All.newer makes.would never had asbestos pads made for them.

It is when the world trade center came down was our most recent mass asbestos pollution... in Vegas they demo the asbestos before they implode the building.
