While there is contention....
I still feel comfort....
While I don't agree with all religion offers...
I feel comfort in what it has to offer....
While there is disagreement....
I feel comfort in the parts that we agree...and those we disagree...
While there is shootings, and serial killers, and rapists and war...
and while that bothers me....
I feel comfort and that life is good....
Is that wrong?
I've been hungry....I've been without a home...
I've been without jobs, without income....
but I've never been without sleep....
I've been robbed...I've been abused...I've been ridiculed....
not nearly to the extent that others have....
but I feel comfort...
I've lost parents and siblings, friends and family...
and I feel comfort...
I've been called all sorts of things....saying I am not Christian...
but I still find comfort in the bible....
I've been called a sinner and have sinned....
but I still find comfort...
and my biggest hope...
is that others do too.
