Hello folks,

Just wanted to introduce myself as I am very interested in inter-faith relations. My background was in study of Buddhism and Taoism following learning about Abrahamic religions. Then researching the esoteric I began to see faith as being many faces of the same spiritual experience.

Now I believe that faiths learning about other religions is helping to bring communities together and build a progressive multicultural society.

Other areas of interest are Monetary Reform and Holistic Economics, Psychology, Neurology, Cosmology, Enterprise and any forms of positive activism for Peace or Sustainability.

Please say hi and make me feel welcome and we can have some good discussions on these boards.

Hi Arthur and welcome to the forum.

I, too, have recognized similarities between Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism. I can now see how all of these religions have evolved from one central set of teachings. I think this is what you are saying, and I agree with you.

I call myself a "Buddhist but not in the traditional sense of the word". Which Buddhist teachings fit and do not fit into your own personal belief system?

Hi Arthur, to put you in context, I'm curious what spiritual background you came from since you started with eastern faiths and then moved to western religions. Did you have a religious upbringing at all?
