A fascinating story about Ayatollah Abdul-Hamid Masumi Tehrani who offered a beautiful calligraphic rendering of what we Baha'is call the Greatest Name has been summoned to a court in Iran:
Ayatollah Abdul-Hamid Masumi Tehrani, who recently made headlines worldwide due to his sympathy for the Baha’is of Iran, has been summoned to Iran’s special clerical court. According to the HRANA – the news organ of the Human Rights Activists’ News Agency in Iran – Ayatollah Abdul-Hamid Masumi Tehrani showed his solidarity with the Baha’is of the world in April 2014, by presenting them with a work of illuminated calligraphy. This Shia religious reformer has been summoned to appear at Branch 1 of the special clerical court on June 1st. The summons stated the reason was “complaints against him”.
