I really did not expect NY Times to have a decent article with the name Islam in it. I find most of their content to be very directional. That being said even though I believe their slant is slightly more anti, it is a well written balanced piece.
I agree some reformation should occur in teaching. Not a change in belief, but just the approach. Too many people are being born and raised without understanding the Quran. They memorize the words but never reflect on the meaning.
