Baha'i
Last night (March 20th) at sundown began Naw-Ruz or "New Day"! WE had several guests to celebrate it with and everyone enjoyed singling ..playing guitar and having dinner together.
Naw-Ruz is probably one of the oldest New Year celebrations dating back to Zoroastrianism and possibly before that! It coincides with the vernal equinox...this year there was a solar eclipse visible in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East... An event I've been tpld is about once in a century.
The Baha'i calendar has nineteen months in a year with nineteen days in each month for 361 days...add four or five days (We call them Intercalary Days) and you have a 365 day solar year..with an additional day for leap years...
