The standard....(in my experience) the children are mostly bored and tired...if it wasn't for the songs, the hunt for the afikoman, the negotiation, the wine, the opening of the door...they would revolt. The middle generation....the parents leading the ceremony, making it their own... and the elder generation...reminding them of points, their shear joy in the songs and memories of their passed passovers.... all incredible... as well of course of the reminder of the stories, and the prayers for peace for all...
(of course this all changes when there are no children at the seder)
