The Truth Contest

I don't understand why everything is in zip files and the information isn't in html.

here are the books...
Be warned that one of those files that appears to be a pdf is actually pdf.html and contains executable code. One of them is actually a readable .pdf document. If you were to 'double click' on the pdf.html you'd be running some sort of code, not just passively reading a document. You have to be very careful about what you download from the internet, because often times things that appear to be documents are executables. I'm not sure why that is possible, but I read reports about it happening from time to time.

Referring to the content and flaws and stuff. I agree its got real problems.

I'd say that in chapter 2 he should probably remove the references to 'Quantum level'. Also he both depends upon and rejects previous traditions. For example he says "Your controlling mind will begin to know that it cannot help you as much when it is active as when it is on standbye" which is a statement that could come from either Buddhism or developmental psychology. On the opposite hand he says "On the physical level, nothing is more certain than death. On the spiritual level, the opposite is true..." so he is both Buddhist and anti-Buddhist, both spiritualist and anti-spiritualist. He's scientist and anti-scientist. He wants to borrow the authority but then replace it and become authority over it. In other words he has got a kind of paternalistic writing style, not just a collection of wise sayings. He borrows the authority of John Lennon but then disagrees with him, or borrows from wisdom writings but then "The very mind that has made seeing the truth possible is now the only thing preventing us from taking the last step, the final step in human evolution." Which presumes all kinds of things, depends upon traditions of many kinds and at the same time tries to kick them in the nuts. Its more like a journal than something written for other people.

The files are zipped pdfs and a readme.txt I double checked and I saw nothing resembling a pdf.html (after the download and unzip). Just to make double sure I also run a scan on the files, just in case.....they are clean!
