namaste all,

so yeah... that. sometimes they hit me right in the feels, ya know? i'm scrolling through my old feed looking for some obscure comment and FB is awful for this. there's no way to do it efficiently so i'm just randomly stopping the scroll to check the progress and i see a happy, smiling face in a santa hat looking at me from years ago. i miss my friend. as a Buddhist sometimes... just sometimes.... coming to terms with the deaths of my friends is very difficult.

metta,

I can empathize. I'm not sure if you remember InLove and Jack Halyard, but anyway, I've kept old correspondences from InLove that I got in my email (I refuse to delete them.) Whenever things get a tad rough in my life, I just open up her folder and reread every message.

Ditto with the threads that she started/participated in; I might not always agree with their pov, but they usually were respectful of their audience.

i do recall them. i have some text messages from my friend like that. i've even posted on her facebook memorial page...which is sort of odd in and of itself i suppose... and had some people like and comment on my post. facebook won't really ever go away even after people move on to whatever the next thing is. it will remain a digital memorial for all of those that were there and aren't here any longer.
