We're getting hit with an onslaught of hate-filled spammers right now. I'm working to keep their filth off the forum, but please be vigilant if you see anyone posting spam and report it. I've turned up the restrictions a bit to keep people from slipping through, which may inadvertently tie up some of your posts in moderation. If that happens, please let me know so I can approve it.

I apologize for any inconvenience the stricter settings cause you. Thanks.

No need to apologize (been there, done that, t-shirts're in the wash...) I suggest that you have another tab or two open with cute :kitty: sites ready (but you knew that already, eh?)

These aren't the run of the mill spammers, unfortunately.
 
87 new spammers with 1550 posts in the last 48 hours. We're going through a huge push right now. Keep your eyes out and report them if you see one slip through. Thanks.

Your second (or is it third?) tab is open to a :kitty: site? Or is it open to :kitty: videos? Sounds like you need a heavy dose of cuteness.

Another big push of spammers in the last week. The filters are mostly working but they're getting overloaded.

Keep your eyes open for spam and please report if you find. Thanks.

Methinks that he'll need at least three tabs with :kitty: sites open when he gets back. I encountered one spammer's "thread" (didn't open it out of self-preservation.) Tovarish immediately put her forepaws around my neck and turned on her "motor" (anyone who has lived with :kitty:s knows exactly which motor I'm talking about!)

I am definitely not pleased. I also don't know how the filters all failed so spectacularly.

Sorry for the intrusion on the forum. Everything, to my knowledge, is cleaned up. And I've increased a lot of keyword filters while I look for a way to limit new users from posting like crazy.

As always, please keep your eyes open and report anything that violates our CoC. Thank you for everyone who reported and notified me about the latest round of filth.

We're looking out for everyone's best interests, whether selfishly or selflessly. The last spammer's raised the hackles of pretty much every delegation that comes through here.

I think that there ought to be a way to report certain CoC offenses without having to click on the actual thread or the offender's "name" (jic there's a Trojan horse or other virus embedded.)

Am I making any sense here?

You're making sense. You can always message me with a username and or thread title without clicking on it and I can follow up and determine if the situation is in violation of our CoC.
