Are there still Alms begging monk - traditions?

My person was just curious if there are still traditions in christianity alive which consists of alms begging wandering monks.

Peter Owen Jones, a Christian living in England, experimented with living like St. Francis of Assisi in this documentary here (click on here). You might find it interesting since he tried to live without money and "make a living" from the generosity of others. There are probably others trying to follow this tradition too. I'll have to search.

Good to hear, see forward for more Ahanu, maybe even monks. (Btw. No way to watch movies and use higher datarate)

Addition: Saw that he is mentioned on Wiki. So he is a householder with wife and children and tries to observe asides of the ten precepts of your tradition also to abstain from accepting, using and order others to use, money (items of exchange, trade), my person assumes. Still he might consume sensual pleasures, or doesn't he?
How ever, nice to come in touch with such untertakings.
