If the title sounds ominous, I apologize.

When I first took over, a number of people asked what I was going to do with the site. I said then, and remain committed to, continuing the mission set out by iBrian. Even though he isn't here, I believe strongly in that vision.

At the same time, I'm also interested in keeping the site current and innovating new ideas. Crazy ideas even, like updating the news articles so they're from 2017 and not 2011. I'm also going to revise some of the world religion pages, both with links to other reputable sites and to correct typos that have bugged me since I took over.

A few of you have reached out with offers to help. If you are interested in helping (gratis, as I still haven't gotten a raise at work), please send me a private message via the inbox. I'm also eager to hear everyone's ideas for what else you'd like to see IO do and include. I certainly won't be able to accommodate all requests, but we have amazing people here and I am genuinely interested in what you have to say.

Thanks.

Steve - I know my vote means very little but I like the title you chose. It is honest. I still feel like an outsider here so I will mostly bite my tongue. However, I do think you have the right idea. It is seems very apparent actually.

I may have suggestions but they are all elementary. Strangely enough the average newspaper is written on a sixth grade level. Remember we read Dick & Jane before we read The Rise and Fall...ED

Your vote certainly carries weight. And please don't hesitate to share your thoughts with me, even if they seem elementary, either on the thread or by private message.

Has the ball started rolling on any of this?

A bit, but not as much as I'd hoped. As the semester has kicked into gear, I've found I'm doing a lot more service at school and haven't been able to give this the time it deserves. I have a few days off at the end of the month and I plan to work on this then.

Do you have other things you want to see changed and updated?

3 days? How about world peace for the first day, eliminating poverty, homelessness, and starvation on the second, end domestic violence, human trafficking and child.labor.on the third.
Now we're talking :)

How about ending "noncon"/"dubcon" in all strata of life on the third day as well? :)

I was thinking about those victims who are too drunk/stoned/tired to give accurate consent at the time of "mounting" (which is dub-con imho.)

Several fraternities were disbanded because of what were (jokingly) referred to as "beaching"s because the victims were as helpless as beached whales/dolphins at the time of their assaults. That's why I used "non-con" and "dub-con" instead of "beaching" and similar terms.
