Thanks for having me...

Welcome to the forum! We look forward to your contributions and insights :)

Ah, good question Aussie Thoughts. I probably should have mentioned that.

I'm a Christian who has studied theology for the past 20 years and for the last year I've been looking around at other philosophies and faiths. I was a staunchly orthodox in my positions but now, not so much.

I'm here to listen and learn. Maybe shed some light on the reasons why Christians believe what they believe if needed.

Thanks @StevePame for the welcome.

Studied theology for 20 years... As a hobby, for a degree or a collar of some sort?

If you wish to add more you could do it here or in the introductions thread and check out other attendees.

Both. I've done some seminary courses and studied to be a layreader in the Anglican Church of Canada. It was more of a passion really, I have worked in a library for 25 years and read constantly. I left the Anglican church due to its lack of commitment to the historic Christian faith and creeds, Asia and Africa are still going strong, but North American mainstream anglicanism has suffered from liberalism.

I do not have enough privilege to post on your thread about the 'godhead' so I'll just drop a quote here to help explain what Christians mean by the term.

Colossians 2:9 English Standard Version (ESV)
9 For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily,

Colossians 2:9 King James Version (KJV)
9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Is that by choice or did you receive a message to that effect. If it's the latter, as Tea says, it's most likely just a glitch of some sort. Unfortunately, this happen from time to time with our current service host. Otherwise you are free and welcome to post on any thread you wish so long as it's in keeping with our Code of Conduct.

Neither tells me what the godhead means... And idk any reason you shouldn't be able to post there. (I get those too)

If you were trying to post links, that would be why you received that message about not having enough privilege to post. If you weren't and got that error, send me a message and I'll investigate further. Thanks.

Thanks for letting me know. I'll talk with the host to make sure this isn't going to spiral into a larger outage issue.
