A Buddhist saying....

I was told a while ago that there is a buddhist saying that warns '....dont grow a second head'.

is there such a saying and if so, what does it mean?

It was said in passing by someone I heard. Maybe I just misheard.

Seems to mean something along the lines of not adding superfluous practices.
