Am posting this 55 min podcast in Abrahamic section because it is not just for Christians or Catholics and although I don't think most people will take the time to listen to it, I believe it is important not as a whitewash but as a realistic explanation of what actually was going down at that time in history:

Yes, the Inquisition is one of those things that has grown in the popular imagination to something of monstrous proportion.

And it @Thomas who first made me aware of the fact. The podcast pretty much sums it up in an hour, with no need to read pages of text, or sit watching a screen, imo
