Alerts first, and then I will browse the unread forums based on what's most interesting to me, normally starting at Alternative Religion, then Interfaith Dialogue, then Abrahamic Religion, and then I scroll down to the general section.
I try to stay out of the politics and society section unless I really feel like I have something worth saying and feel like I can articulate it well, since I am generally more interested in spirituality than politics. I try very much to be "in the world but not of it;" any political ideas I might have come from religious principles, not any sort of economic or political theory, which might mean that I'm totally unqualified for those conversations.
